British narrators often seem to have more radio experience in their backgrounds, which makes them especially suited for audiobooks. It is also common for the British to work in both adult and children’s books. For example, Christian Rodska has read Waugh’s Officers and Gentlemen, Delderfield’s To Serve Them All of My Days, Brough Girling’s hilarious School Secretary on the Warpath, and the outrageous Switch Bitch by Roald Dahl. Some narrators use several different names to record. David Case is also Frederick Davidson and Edward Raleigh.
